Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 April 2026 · Version 2026.04.17
This Cookie Policy explains how Alpomi Ltd ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on alpomi.com (the "Site"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Our registered address is 3 Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2DR, United Kingdom.
This policy is written for compliance with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations ("PECR"), the UK GDPR and the EU ePrivacy Directive. Outside the "strictly necessary" category, we do not set any cookies until you have given consent.
Change your choice
You can change the categories of cookies you consent to at any time using the control (also available in the Site footer). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Our cookie categories
We group cookies into four categories so you can control them individually:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function. Cannot be switched off.
- Functional — remember small preferences that improve your experience (e.g. theme, chosen currency on the pricing page).
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site (pages, clicks, scroll depth) so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager with IP anonymisation enabled.
- Marketing — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show you relevant Alpomi ads on third-party sites. Set through Google Tag Manager (Google Ads / DoubleClick).
1. Strictly-necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Site to function and for us to remember your cookie-preference choices. They are always on. They are set on the lawful basis of Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR (legitimate interests) and the "strictly necessary" PECR exemption.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| alpomi_consent | alpomi.com | Stores your cookie-preference choices so we only load the categories of cookies you have consented to. | First-party | 180 days |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance, cf_chl_* | Cloudflare (via Vercel) | Bot protection and security for the site. Set automatically by our edge network to distinguish humans from automated traffic. | Third-party | Session up to 30 days |
| theme, next-themes | alpomi.com | Remembers your chosen light / dark theme preference. | First-party | 1 year |
2. Analytics cookies (consent required)
We use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") via Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the Site. We have enabled IP anonymisation and disabled Google Signals / advertising features where applicable. GA4 data is processed by Google LLC (United States) as a processor for Alpomi Ltd, under EU Standard Contractual Clauses + the UK Addendum and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
These cookies are only set if you accept the "Analytics" category. Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) and PECR Regulation 6.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Assigns a randomised client identifier so GA4 can recognise a returning browser. Used to measure unique visitors and sessions. IP anonymisation is enabled. | Third-party | 2 years |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Persists session state for GA4. | Third-party | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users for aggregate usage reporting (only set if the legacy Universal Analytics tag fires). | Third-party | 24 hours |
| _gat, _gat_UA-* | Google Analytics | Throttles the rate of requests to the analytics endpoint. | Third-party | 1 minute |
3. Marketing cookies (consent required)
We use Google Tag Manager to manage Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags. These cookies are used to measure the performance of Alpomi advertising campaigns and to show you Alpomi ads on Google properties and partner sites. They are only set if you accept the "Marketing" category. Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) and PECR Regulation 6.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au | Google Tag Manager / Google Ads | Stores and tracks ad-conversion attribution for Google Ads when a visitor arrives via a Google Ads click. | Third-party | 90 days |
| NID, IDE, ANID, DSID | Google / DoubleClick | Used by Google to build a profile of your interests and to show you relevant Alpomi ads on Google properties and partner sites. | Third-party | Up to 24 months |
| test_cookie | Google DoubleClick | Checks whether the user's browser supports cookies. | Third-party | 15 minutes |
Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 in default-deny mode. Before you make a choice, Google tags loaded via GTM (including GA4 and Google Ads) will not set analytics or advertising cookies and will not transmit identifiers. If you accept analytics and/or marketing, we signal the corresponding consent states (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) to Google so the tags can then set cookies and process data.
How to control and withdraw consent
- Use the control at any time (also in the footer) to change your choice.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- The application at app.alpomi.com is a separate authenticated product; cookies set there are covered by the Privacy Policy.
Updates
We will update this page whenever we add, remove or materially change any cookie on the Site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
